Method
- Add rice, chicken, vegetables, and broth to crockpot.
- Season and cook on low 6β7 hours or high 3β4 hours.
- Remove and shred chicken, then return to pot.
- Stir in milk and parmesan, cook 10 minutes more.
- Remove bay leaf, garnish, and serve.
Notes
- Black rice gives a unique chewy texture and nutty flavor.
- Add extra broth when reheating if soup thickens.
- Best served warm with bread or salad.
